Morgan Stanley hires new Japan e-trading head

Takayuki Saito will become Japan head of Morgan Stanley electronic trading, which offers an algorithmic trading suite and various direct market access (DMA) strategies.

Morgan Stanley has appointed Takayuki Saito as the head of electronic trading in Japan. Based in Tokyo, he will oversee all low-touch trading capabilities in Japan from early August. Saito will report functionally to Zach Tuckwell, head of Morgan Stanley's pan-Asian electronic trading, and locally to Steve O'Shea, head of client trading in Japan.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Saito was the head of direct execution services at UBS Securities in Japan for five years. He has also worked at Credit
