Citi names new head of markets for South Asia

Pankaj Vaish joins Citi as head of markets for South Asia from Nomura.

Citi has appointed Pankaj Vaish as head of markets for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, with responsibilities for the fixed-income, currencies, credit, commodities and equities businesses.

Based in Mumbai, Vaish reports to Singapore-based Rodrigo Zorilla, head of global markets at Citi Asia-Pacific, and to Mumbai-based Pramit Jhaveri, chief executive at Citi India.

Vaish joins Citi from Nomura Securities, where he was a managing director and head of equities based in India. He has more than 19
