Senate finally passes two Treasury staff

The US Treasury has appointed Charles Collyns as assistant secretary for international finance following his confirmation by the US Senate. Collyns, who previously served as the deputy director of the research department at the International Monetary Fund, will lead the Treasury's work on international monetary policy, international financial institutions and co-ordination with international bodies such as the G-8 and the G-20 on regional and bilateral economic issues.
