How did you become involved in the energy markets?

I studied in grad school with a professor who had done a lot of work on gas market deregulation and that got me interested. After the Energy Policy Act of 1992 was passed, I was working as a consultant doing some strategy work with big investor-owned utilities. They were all curious about a company called Enron, because it had completely revolutionised the gas market and had just been among the first applicants for a FERC power marketing licence
