Schoenfeld new head of market oversight at CFTC
Steven Schoenfeld has been appointed director of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) division of market oversight.
The division oversees surveillance, compliance and products for all markets regulated by the CFTC, which include commodities and derivatives. It also oversees trade execution facilities and has responsibility for ensuring these markets accurately reflect supply and demand fundamentals, and preventing market trading abuse.
