Credit Suisse strengthens private banking in Singapore

Credit Suisse has appointed Lim Eng Guan as managing director and market leader for Singapore in its private banking division. Singapore-based Lim will lead Credit Suisse's local team and aim to strengthen its business in Singapore's domestic private banking market. Lim will report to Francois Monnet, managing director, head of private banking, Southeast Asia and Australasia at Credit Suisse.

Lim joined Credit Suisse in March 2008 as location head for China market based in Singapore. Prior to that he spent 15 years at Citibank's International Personal Bank as managing director for its North Asia team and was seconded as Citibank's chief consultant to Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPDB) and deputy CEO Consumer Bank at SPDB in 2006.
