Cowperthwaite departs Credit Suisse Asia-Pacific

Adam Cowperthwaite, Asia-Pacific head of structured retail products at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, has left the bank and will take a six-month break from the business. Cowperthwaite and other members of Credit Suisse's equity derivatives team leave the bank only weeks after the departure of Alex Lin, who was responsible for equity derivatives and convertibles trading.

Cowperthwaite led the bank's structured retail products (SRP) group initiative in the Asia-Pacific region, which was set up in 2006 to integrate its equity and fixed-income retail product capabilities. He reported into Kurt Ersoy, managing director, head of derivatives marketing, Asia Pacific.

The changes come only a few months after Philipp Rueede, managing director and co-head of global equity derivatives structuring, moved from Asia to the bank's offices in Switzerland in February. Rueede
