Ho hops from Hang Seng to HKMEx

Jimmy Ho, formerly head of structured products and business development in Hang Seng Bank's Treasury division, has been appointed chief operating officer, markets at the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange (HKMEx), and will oversee the marketing, membership and product development divisions of the commodities exchange.

At Hang Seng, Ho was responsible for managing the bank's treasury product structuring, pricing and trading activities and corporate treasury marketing activities in Hong Kong with the additional responsibility of overseeing the bank's treasury activities in China.

Ho began his career with HSBC in Hong Kong and Canada, managing currency options risk for the bank's Asia-Pacific region during the Asian currency crisis.
