UK regulator appoints new director of enforcement

The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK's financial services watchdog, has appointed Margaret Cole as its new director of enforcement. She will report to John Tiner, chief executive of the FSA.

"Cole is one of the city's most experienced and respected financial services litigators. I am delighted she has agreed to lead this important element of the FSA's operations," said Tiner.

Cole joins the FSA from the White & Case law firm, where she established and led the dispute resolution department in London.
