Bell elected to chair IBFed

The International Banking Federation (IBFed) has elected David Bell, chief executive of the Australian Bankers’ Association, as its new chairman. The move follows the retirement of Ian Mullen, chief executive of the British Bankers’ Association. At a board meeting, Bell complimented Mullen particularly for his work on corporate governance, international accounting standards, prudential supervision, as well as on countering cybercrime.
