Claassen to represent EDF and EnBW

EDF has appointed Utz Claassen, chief executive and chairman of EnBW, to its executive committee. EDF owns a 45% share of EnBW.

Claassen will continue as EnBW's chief executive, but will also assume responsibility for defining the EDF Group's strategy for central and eastern Europe.

"This new and additional task is for me a great privilege and at the same time, an important challenge," said Claassen, "It eflects and manifests the great confidence and the successful partnership between EDF and EnBW
