As a former member of both the UK Monetary Policy Committee (2000–2003) and the Court of Directors of the Bank of England (1997–2000), Christopher Allsopp has concerned himself with monetary and macroeconomic matters for the bulk of his career. Now, as director of the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES), Allsopp is using this experience to bring a fresh perspective to energy analysis.
