Saxo Bank hires fixed-income chief

Online investment bank Saxo Bank has appointed Steven Braithwaite as director and global head of fixed income and foreign exchange. Braithwaite leaves Royal Bank of Canada in Singapore where he was head of foreign exchange trading and sales.

Saxo’s previous fixed-income head, Claus Nielsen, has been promoted to chief operating officer for trading. Saxo says the creation of the COO trading role reflects a change in the bank’s structure designed to integrate the bank’s activities and services with
