Marino Valensise to become Barings’ chief investment officer

Marino Valensise, the fixed-income and currency head at Baring Asset Management in London, is to replace Michael Hughes as chief investment officer at the end of this year.

Hughes, who has been with Barings since 1998, is retiring.
