BGC names head of US interest rate swaps

Interdealer broker BGC Partners has promoted Rob Sutton, formerly head of trading at the broker's Sydney office, to global head of US dollar interest rate swaps.

Sutton moves to New York, where he reports to Robin Clark, head of derivatives and rates for North America and Europe, and to the executive managing directors for Asia, Mark Webster and Mark Spring.

Webster and Spring will cover Sutton’s existing duties in Sydney until a replacement is found.
