Bear Stearns hires prime brokerage head

Bear Stearns has hired James Shekerdemian as head of sales for prime brokerage in Europe.

He joins from Lehman Brothers, where he was head of quantitative hedge fund sales. Based in London, he reports to the head of prime brokerage for Europe, Paul Brannan, and the heads of equity sales for Europe, Vicki Aston-Duff and Leonardo Giangreco.
