Congdon launches new venture

Tim Congdon, the founder of Lombard Street Research and advisor to the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1992 to 1997, has established International Monetary Research Ltd, an internet-based research company.

The company will analyse monetary trends in leading industrial nations and associated developments in their banking systems, exploring the implications of these for the macroeconomic outlook.

Congdon intends the research to help clients in their strategic investment and asset allocation
