DrKW creates Nordic derivatives marketing team

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) has made three appointments to form a new Nordic financial institutions derivatives marketing team in London. The team will market the bank’s full range of derivatives products across asset classes to clients in the region.

Tom Carstensen joins as director and head of the team, reporting to John Cusins, co-head of financial institutions derivatives marketing. He joins from UBS in London where he held the same role.

Hanrik Baun and Deepak Rajan both join the team reporting to Castensen, Baun as a director and Rajan as a vice-president. Rajan was previously at Deutsche Bank, where he had a similar role, marketing structured products to Nordic clients within life and pension fund institutions. Baun joins the bank from ABN Amro in London, where he was a senior consultant to the financial advisory group.

Tarek Mahmoud, global head of sales and marketing at DrKW, said the investment banking unit of Germany's Dresdner Bank was at the forefront of integrating its capital markets business across asset classes. “These new appointments are further testament to the success of this business model and will be instrumental in enhancing our coverage of financial institutions in the Nordic region,” he said.
