K2 Advisors hires Nederlof from Deutsche Bank

Connecticut-based fund of hedge funds K2 Advisors has hired Maarten Nederlof as a managing director for product development.

Nederlof will spearhead the development of products for the institutional investor market, according to K2. “His understanding of the needs of investors will allow us to expand our product and solution offerings for the institutional market-place,” said K2’s David Saunders, who co-founded the firm with William Douglass in 1994.

In his new role he will work closely with K2’s investment committee, assisting in the manager selection process. Prior to joining K2’s research team in early October
