Deutsche's Derhalli to head emerging market equities

Deutsche Bank has appointed Kerim Derhalli as global head of emerging market equities. He runs the equities businesses in Latin America, and central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) region.

Derhalli’s responsibilities will include sales, trading, origination and overseeing derivatives structuring. He will report jointly to Pablo Calderini, head of global markets for Latin America and CEEMEA; and Ralph Reynolds, global head of cash equities. Meanwhile, Ed Peter will continue in his role running equities in Asia.

“Kerim brings many years of emerging market expertise to this role, in addition to tremendous franchise building skills, most recently deployed in the successful transformation of our commodities business,” said Reynolds.

Derhalli was made head of global commodities at Deutsche Bank in January 2002, and steered the division to win Risk's 2003 commodity derivatives house of the year award.
