Barna leaves Merrill for Deutsche equity role

Peter Barna has joined Deutsche Bank in New York as a director in the bank’s US convertible and equity linked solutions group. He comes from Merrill Lynch, where he worked for eight years, most recently as director in equity linked capital markets with responsibility for both public and private equity derivatives.

Barna will report to Brooks Harris, head of US convertible and equity linked solutions. The bank said the hire was part of its initiative to expand its offering of derivatives solutions for clients in the US, where the market for convertibles and private equity derivatives has been growing recently.
