CEIOPS chairman quits, calling for power separation clause

Henrik Bjerre-Nielsen, the outgoing chairman of the Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS), is hopeful that there will be a clause inserted into the forthcoming Solvency II directive, which will offer legal distinction between the powers of supervisors and governments.
