JOB CYCLE
Applix has hired four new sales staff in the UK, bringing its total sales force to 20. Per-Gunnar Ostby has been appointed UK sales director, reporting to Applix's managing director Jitendra Valera. Ostby previously worked at Liant Software.
Joining as junior sales executives are Julian Turner, Kenton Smith and Digby Christmas. Christmas will focus on finance sector sales of Applix's systems. He is a former futures and options trader who has spent the past three years working for IBM.
