Deutsche Bank structured equity sales head departs amid cuts

Kim Gayer has left his London-based position as managing director and global head of structured equity sales at Deutsche Bank. The bank declined to comment on his departure.

In February 2008, Gayer was also appointed head of the global market investment products group, which was created to consolidate the bank's retail structured products business.

Last month saw the departure of Richard Carson, who was head of global equity derivatives, Nino Kjellman, head of Asia equity derivatives, and Andrew Kent, a trader in equity derivatives. Michael Gissi and Roger Naylor were appointed the new co-heads of global equity derivatives in early November. Sources have verified that 900 jobs will be cut before the end of 2008 across global banking and markets.
