ABN Amro creates financial markets advisory team in Australia

ABN Amro has created a new financial markets advisory team, aimed at offering market risk and debt advisory services to financial institutions and corporates in Asia and Australia.

Heading the team is John Martin, formerly Sydney-based managing director of Zurich Risk and Value Advisory, a division of asset management firm Zurich Capital Markets (ZCM). Joining him at ABN Amro are former ZCM colleagues Justin Myatt and Michael Polich. All three were previously at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sydney, where they worked in the global risk management division.

At ABN Amro, the team will provide a range of risk advisory services including portfolio optimisation, transaction structuring and debt funding. Martin will report locally to Col McKeith, head of financial markets for ABN Amro in Australia and Sydney, and globally to Greg Major, global head of financial markets advisory in London.
