RBS makes high-yield appointment

Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Kevin Connell as vice-president in its high yield capital markets group in London. He will be involved in both corporate and sponsor-related high yield transactions, in which he will provide origination and execution support.

Connell was previously at Bear Stearns in London, where he was vice-president in its leveraged finance and high yield capital markets business. Prior to that, he was at Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup).

Connell will report to Nicholas Coates, head of European high yield capital markets in London.
