Barclays Capital to boost derivatives effort in Mexico

Barclays Capital, the investment banking unit of the UK's Barclays, has hired Lorenzo Gonzalez Bosco from Bank of America to increase its derivatives origination, syndicated credits and bonds issuance in Mexico.

Gonzalez will target both corporate and sovereign clients, reporting to Carlos Mauleon, Barclays Capital's head of Latin America investment banking and debt capital markets. Gonzalez, who will hold the title of director of investment banking at Barclays, has previously worked in forex derivatives, and the loan portfolio and syndication origination business at Bank of America.He will now work closely with Roberto Latapi, Barclays Capital's representative in Mexico.
