ISE elects Frank Jones as vice chairman

US electronic equity options market, the International Securities Exchange (ISE), has elected Frank Jones as vice chairman. He replaces Ivers Riley, who has been appointed chairman of the two-year-old ISE.

Jones is currently the chief investment officer of the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, which he joined in 1991. Prior to this, in the late 1980s, Jones was head of global derivatives products for Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and between 1983 and 1988 worked as managing director of institutional financial futures and options for US investment bank Kidder, Peabody.

Before working at Kidder, Peabody, Jones was responsible for the introduction of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) stock
