ABN Amro makes loan appointments

Dutch bank ABN Amro has appointed three new staff to its loan syndicate, sales and trading team.

Lara Galliers has assumed the role of head of European corporate, syndicate and sales. Galliers has been with ABN for nine years, initially in relationship management and for the past six years in loan syndication. She will be based in London and will to report to Mark Vincent, head of loan syndicate sales and trading.

Also in London, Matthew Leventhal has been appointed to the loan trading desk as a junior trader. He will report to Louise Lomax, head of European loan trading. He started at ABN in 2006 and most recently was a member of the leveraged finance team.

In Amsterdam, Rafael Gomez-Nunez has joined the leveraged syndicate and sales team. He fills the position vacated by Gertjan van Toorn and will report to Arjan van Rijn, head of loan syndicate and sales for leveraged finance. Gomez-Nunez has worked in several positions at ABN, having spent three years in credit and five years in syndicated loan origination. Most recently, he worked in leveraged finance origination.
