CIBC names Rule head of forex trading

CIBC has appointed Duncan Rule as head of foreign exchange trading, effective from April 27.

He arrives from Dresdner Kleinwort, where he has led several capital markets rates and foreign exchange businesses. He will be relocating from London to Toronto for the role, and will report to Harry Culham, Toronto-based head of fixed income, currencies and distribution.

CIBC has also named Andre LaJeunesse as head of fixed income, currencies and distribution for Asia. He also starts on April 27, reporting directly to Culham, and locally to Warren Gilman, head of the Asia-Pacific region for the bank.

LaJeunesse joins from ANZ, where he was head of fixed-income sales. He will remain in Singapore in his new position.
