Knüpling promoted to deputy CRO at Scor

Frieder Knüpling has been promoted to deputy chief risk officer (CRO) of Paris-based reinsurer Scor.

His former role at the company was chief corporate actuary, a post he had held since 1997. In his new position, Knüpling will lead the risk management team in Cologne and assist the Paris-based CRO, Jean-Luc Besson, with designing and implementing the reinsurer's risk management policy.

According to Scor, the previous deputy CRO, Michael Kastenholz, left the firm for personal reasons. During his time at the company, he was involved with leading Scor's enterprise risk management initiatives.
