Lehman Brothers hires head of fixed-income Asia

Lehman Brothers has promoted Hyung Soon Lee, currently head of high-yield Asia, to head of fixed-income Asia.

Based in Tokyo, he assumes responsibility for all fixed-income products including derivatives, and will report to Jesse Bhattal, Tokyo-based chief executive for Lehman Brothers in Asia.

Lee originally joined the bank almost a decade ago and has been running its high-yield franchise in Tokyo since 1997. He takes over from Tarun Jotwani, who will relocate to London in a newly created role as head of international credit capital markets in Europe and Asia from November 1.

Jotwani will now take responsibility for sales and trading of all product lines in the high grade and high yield credit business in Europe and Asia.
