Risk Advisory Group hires new experts

The Risk Advisory Group (Trag), a UK-based business intelligence and investigations consultancy, has made senior appointments in its corporate investigations and security risk management divisions.

The new head of corporate investigations is Simon Dawson, who joins from Control Risks Group, another consultancy firm. He will undertake investigations on behalf of FTSE 100 companies and City law firms, Trag said. Dawson is a qualified lawyer who has previously worked for the Crown Prosecution Service, the public criminal prosecutors in England and Wales, and the forensic services division of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Meanwhile, Charles Skinner was made operations manager of Trag’s security consultancy subsidiary Janusian Security Risk Management. Skinner served in the British Army for 22 years, and has since worked as a security consultant to companies in the UK, Russia, Jordan and Romania.

Trag has also hired Tanya Malcolm as an associate in its emerging markets practice area. Malcolm, who was previously a political risk analyst at Control Risks, specialises in advising foreign investors in the former Soviet Union.

There are also two new research associates, Chris Rowley and Rebecca Palser, in Trag’s business intelligence practice area. Both move from jobs where they analysed political and business risk in various parts of the world.
