Lehman EM head reappears at Standard Chartered

Mohammed Grimeh, former global head of emerging markets at collapsed dealer Lehman Brothers, has been appointed as head of trading and deputy head of global markets for the Americas at Standard Chartered.

As part of the newly created role, Grimeh will manage the bank’s global foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and commodities trading activities. He will be based in New York and report to David Castle, Standard Chartered's head of global markets for the Americas.

Grimeh had been global head of emerging markets at Lehman Brothers since 1998, and has also held trading roles at Société Générale and ING.
