Deutsche names Bausano head of hedge funds unit

Deutsche Bank has appointed Barry Bausano as managing director and global head of hedge funds in its New York global markets division.

In this newly created position, Bausano assumes responsibility for all global hedge fund coverage, reporting to Colin Grassie and Jonathan Paul, co-heads of institutional sales.

Bausano was previously president and chief executive of Red Wolf Capital Management, which he also founded. Prior to that, he acted as fund manager for CS Capital Strategies Funds, a $100 million fund backed by Credit Suisse First Boston. Bausano was also the director of Asian markets at Moore Capital Management, the global interest rate and currency portfolio manager at Steinhardt Management, and headed the ‘macro’ group for global fixed-income, foreign exchange and derivatives at Tiger Management.

“Having worked closely with Barry as a client for a long time, I am delighted to welcome him on board. He will take our commitment to this dynamic industry to the next level,” said Anshu Jain, head of global markets and a member of the group executive committee of Deutsche Bank.
