Norton Rose hires Lovells derivatives partner

Norton Rose is moving to rebuild its structured finance and has hired Laurence Garside, formerly a partner in Lovells' derivatives practice.

Garside, who left Lovells earlier this year, will join Norton Rose next month as a partner in the international securities practice, working under head of banking Stephen Parish.

The new hire is the first step in Norton Rose's effort to reconstruct its derivatives practice after the resignation of four partners earlier this year. The firm plans to bring in at least four partners over the next year and will also make several internal promotions.
