S&P makes push in Asia

Standard and Poor’s (S&P), the ratings agency and index provider, has hired Toshiki Ando as a business development director for Asia - a new role within its securities data unit.

Based in Tokyo, Ando will be responsible for developing use of the firm’s credit ratings, bond pricing and securities identifiers in the Asia-Pacific region.

In his new role, Ando will report to Yu-Tsung Chang, managing director of Japan and Korea at S&P. He joins the rating agency from the Japanese arm of US insurer, Aflac.
