Deutsche boosts commodities business in Asia

Deutsche Bank has hired Richard Ng as vice-president and commodities marketer for the bank’s global markets business unit in Singapore.

He will be responsible for marketing the bank's commodities risk-management products, with a special focus on energy and energy derivatives within Asia.

Ng joins the bank from SG, where he was part of the French bank’s energy risk management group. At Deutsche, he will report to Rahul Mookerjee, Asian co-head of debt capital markets and corporate coverage.

"We look forward to [Ng] leveraging the strong local and global platforms that Deutsche Bank has in the region and to him providing customised solutions to our client base for their commodity risk management needs,” said Melissa Babbage, head of commodities Asia-Pacific.
