Deutsche Bank boosts SSG

Deutsche Bank has appointed Michael Henriques, formerly of Goldman Sachs, as a managing director within its special situations group (SSG).

Henriques will be responsible for the origination, structuring and risk management of principal finance opportunities within the SSG. He will be based in New York and reports to Erik Falk, head of the SSG. At Goldman, Henriques spent over twelve years in the structured products group, most recently as co-head of collateralised debt obligations.

Deutsche launched the SSG in October of last year. It deals with principal transactions involving all types of consumer and commercial credit. It targets assets and operating companies across industries with predictable cashflow, such as consumer and commercial finance and insurance.
