Dresdner Kleinwort makes forex hires

Dresdner Kleinwort, the investment banking arm of Dresdner Bank, has made a number of new additions to its foreign exchange team.

Michael Walsh will join Dresdner Kleinwort in London as managing director and head of hedge fund forex sales. He will report to Ricardo Zulliger, global head of forex and local market sales. Walsh joins from ABN Amro in London, where he had been working in forex hedge fund sales. David Zanette joins from Calyon in London, as a director in hedge fund forex sales. He will report to Walsh.

Also in London, Sonober Siddiqi joins from HSBC to work on the central bank team for forex sales. Dominic Yip from Calyon and Danny Brader from Citigroup will join the forex options team. Bing Bing Liu started last week in the forex structuring team. Liu, who joined from HSBC, will be based in London initially, and will transfer to the Singapore office in six months' time.

In Frankfurt, Juergen Roedl from Maintrust and Lis Christiansen from Commerzbank both join Dresdner Kleinwort as corporate salespeople for forex, local markets and commodities. Jasmin Fellner joins the e-commerce sales team from BNP Cortal Consors.

These hires follow the recent appointment of Ira Koyner, head of forex options in New York, who is looking to develop forex at Dresdner Kleinwort.
