Calyon bolsters global high-yield team

Calyon has added to its global high-yield team by hiring David Weinstein and Stephen Elliott.

Weinstein joins as head of US high-yield and leverage finance capital markets in New York. He has spent most of his career in banking in New York, including time spent at Chase Securities and Lehman Brothers. Most recently, he was head of high-yield capital markets at BNP Paribas.

Weinstein will report locally to Ron Krolick, head of debt capital markets, Americas, and to Tim Hall, head of global high-yield and emerging markets, based in London.

Elliott is appointed as a senior high-yield sales professional, based in London. He will focus on increasing Calyon’s distribution in the European high-yield market. Elliott was previously executive director of high-yield and distressed sales at Lehman Brothers in London and New York, where he had worked since 2001. He will report to Chris Macmillan, head of European flow credit sales.

“We are looking forward to expanding our activities both in Europe and in the US,” said Tim Hall, Calyon’s head of global high-yield and emerging markets.
