Post-UBS takeover, Switzerland sees biggest regional G-Sib score spike

Credit Suisse acquisition pushes UBS’s complexity category to all-time high, driving up country’s overall score

UBS’s acquisition of Credit Suisse drove the biggest regional increase in systemic risk scores among the seven jurisdictions home to global systemically important banks in this year’s Financial Stability Board (FSB) assessment, Risk Quantum analysis shows.   

UBS, the only Swiss G-Sib, saw its score rise by 92 basis points to 287bp – just 32bp shy of the end-2022 combined score of UBS and Credit Suisse before the latter’s collapse.
