Athora CFO exit caps management overhaul

Entire management team at Apollo’s European insurance affiliate has been replaced since 2022

Athora, the European insurance affiliate of Apollo Global Management, today (July 31) announced its chief financial officer, Anders Malmström will leave the firm. He will join Swiss Re in the role of chief financial officer early next year.

Malmström’s exit marks the latest in a series of departures at the top of the European savings and retirement group. The latest development means the entire management team at Athora has been overhauled since 2022, when Mike Wells was appointed chief executive
