US Bank cautions on regulators’ TLAC proposal

The fifth-largest retail and corporate lender in the US is warning against excessive regulation of banks below the global systemically important bank (G-Sib) category.
“In addition to looking at just size, you have to look at the risk profile of the company,” said Jodi Richard, chief risk officer at US Bank.
Richard was speaking at the Risk USA event in New York on October 20. Her comments were in reaction to a draft rule proposed on October 14 by the US Federal Reserve and Federal Deposit
