In March, 18 months after the start of Covid-19, ICICI Bank reported some of its best foreign exchange trading figures: year-on-year volumes for 2022 increased 57%, representing a revenue growth of 48%.

While some of this success can be explained by heightened volatility in the market, a good deal of it is linked to the bank’s ability to adapt to evolving client needs – and to bring some new structures on to the market at just the right time.
