Citi clearing head departs for crypto firm

Senior departure is latest among swaps giant’s clearing ranks

Chris Perkins, co-head of derivatives clearing and foreign exchange prime brokerage (FXPB) at Citi, has left the US bank to become president and managing partner of cryptocurrency investment firm CoinFund.

Perkins only recently took the reins as Citi’s co-head of clearing and FXPB alongside colleague Sabrina Wilson in September last year, after industry veteran Jerome Kemp left the role. Citi declined to comment. It is understood the bank will announce a senior management reshuffle within the
