PNC appoints new chief risk officer

Super-regional, soon to be US’s fifth-biggest bank, switches risk chief

PNC Bank, the US lender that is in the midst of a takeover that will make it the nation’s fifth-largest by assets, has switched chief risk officer (CRO).

Kieran Fallon, formerly the bank’s deputy general counsel, has been named CRO of PNC Financial Services Group, a spokesperson for the bank confirms, replacing Joseph Rockey, who had been CRO since 2015.

Rockey, who continues to be employed by PNC, has taken a leave of absence to focus on a health issue, said the spokesperson, adding that the
