Murex’s client services employs 700 staff worldwide, with a further 3,500 Murex specialists in a network of global and regional system integrator partners. To support this expertise and help ensure smooth and swift project delivery, the company has developed a suite of tools for optimising testing, upgrades and configuration and environment management. Its MXplus methodology facilitates upgrade projects, improving cost-efficiency and minimising risks.
Clients are assigned dedicated support teams tailored to their specific requirements. Murex takes a knowledge-sharing approach across projects that helps clients gain practical understanding of its systems through documentation, and hands-on, online and classroom learning. Support teams are involved early to ensure continuity from implementation to operational support, with clear handover procedure of all project aspects.
MXpress is a repository of configurations Murex has built up over the years that enables clients to benefit from previous implementations and speed up deployment. It smooths collaboration and co-ordination between all parties involved in a project, including business and IT stakeholders. The latest release of MXpress adopts the continuous integration, continuous delivery approach to software development and deployment to accelerate implementation while continuously validating code.
The agility and resilience of Murex’s approach was tested by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the company able to quickly adapt and ensure that more than 85% of its global go-live projects planned from March to July 2020 went ahead as scheduled despite the exceptional circumstances.
