The US Federal Reserve will next month set out its long-awaited stance on operational resilience, outlining the approach it expects banks to take when demonstrating their ability to maintain critical business operations during severe disruption.

The work, outlined by Arthur Lindo, deputy director at the Fed, in a speech at OpRisk North America on October 21, will set out guidance on the use of scenario-analysis techniques when determining their ability to weather disruptions from operational
