Barclays has hired an energy derivatives trader in Singapore to bulk up its global commodities business, Risk.net has learned.

Scott Foster joined the UK bank in recent weeks from Koch Industries, the Kansas-based industrial and energy group that also boasts a significant derivatives trading operation. Most recently, Foster had been working for Koch in Singapore, where he ran a proprietary trading book mainly focused on refinery margins, employing various time-spread and arbitrage strategies in
